Fairytale Fixer

Goal: Fables, fairy tales, and folktales are wonderful stories with memorable themes. They also have memorable problems to solve like removing a thorn from the lion in Aesop’s fable, ascending Rapunzel’s tower, avoiding the chasing giant in Jack and the Beanstalk, or engaging some active cloaking for Red Riding Hood to hide from the Wolf. Read a fable, fairytale, or folktale of your choosing, pick a challenge you can take on with your MINDSTORMS (EV3 or NXT) kit, invent, and share your solutions on Dr. E’s! When you share your work, tell us what story you picked, show how your design works, and describe how it might change the story. Dates: May 1 to May 31
